Maine Voices and Maine Votes, 501(c) 3 and 501(c) 4 sister organizations committed to shaping and advancing the work of social and economic justice in the state of Maine by leveraging the collective power and resources of partner organizations, seek nominations and applications for a new Executive Director. Poised to build upon a nearly 8-year track record of successful progressive advocacy, the organizations seek a joint Executive Director who will continue to elevate the influence and reach of their work and capitalize on the opportunities for new collaborations and initiatives to positively impact the people of Maine. The ideal candidate will be committed to racial equity and making progressive change happen; have the ability to raise money at the state and national level; understand c(4) and c(3) field and media program planning, data, and tools; and have experience building both strong staff teams and leading diverse coalitions at the state or national level.Maine Voices Network (MVN) is a state-based collaboration that leverages resources and improves coordination among partner organizations working towards permanent social change in social and economic justice by increasing civic engagement and voter participation across the state. MVN is focused on working with underrepresented communities, engaging Mainers in the decision-making processes that impact their lives, and making sure that every Mainer’s voice is heard and state governance reflects the progressive values of its citizens. - Developing and executing a coordinated state plan that maximizes the resources and effectiveness of all partners and reduces duplication of efforts in the areas of voter outreach, education, advocacy and turnout.
- Developing and executing a coordinated state plan that helps nonpartisan civic engagement organizations best engage Mainers in the decision-making processes that impact their lives while growing state capacity for change, coordinating strategies between state and national partners, mobilizing funding and resources and making technology and data readily available to partners.
