In this position, you'll work closely with our site director to ensure our users get a smooth experience with the life-saving and inspiring information we provide. Position Description: 


  • Monitor all newly posted content to ensure every article is correctly categorized and highlighted on all relevant areas of our sites
  • Track all major portals and gateways within our sites to ensure they are up to date; locate outdated areas of the site (both in terms of content and design)
  • Maintain our internal image libraries and reference documents
  • Assist with the improvement of user experience, including working on projects to reorganize and maintain focused, topical areas of our websites
  • Assist with planning and organization of team project launches
  • Assist with site traffic and performance tracking and analytics
  • Assist with discovering, reporting, and fixing site issues such as broken images and links
  • Assist the site director with daily management and maintenance of our websites



Desired Skills and Experience

  • At least one previous position working in a deadline-driven, non-academic environment (internship or entry level)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Previous experience with online content management systems such as Drupal or Joomla
  • Comfortable and adept in the creation and use of online documentation, including wikis and network-shared spreadsheets
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS (preferred; willingness to learn required)
  • Basic Photoshop skills (preferred)
  • An awareness and understanding of modern internet trends: what makes websites attractive, organized, and user friendly
  • Flawless attention to detail with a streak of perfectionism
  • Stellar organizational and time management abilities
  • Internally motivated
  • A natural curiosity, a desire to fully understand the nature of problems, and a willingness to ask questions and leave no stone unturned in resolving those problems
  • An ability to communicate needs and requirements clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in print
  • An ability to maintain a level head and work well with others in high-stress environments with multiple deadlines looming
